Beacon Transport Planning is a professional transport and highways consultancy offering planning support and advice. The focus of the consultancy is development planning, primarily in support of developers, other private clients and allied professionals. We cover all forms of development and business sectors, with particular emphasis upon residential, retail and minerals/waste. We are able to draw upon a history of success in negotiating the planning system and offer a personal service, providing clients with thorough advice via a single point of contact in a timely and cost-effective manner. At Beacon Transport Planning we prefer to focus only on our area of expertise: transport planning, traffic engineering and highways consultancy. We don’t seek to extend beyond our capabilities, simply front-up work that has been sub-contracted to others or sell associated services. We do however have a range of trusted contacts within allied disciplines and are happy to recommend other professionals as and if required.

Beacon Discovery is a GPCR-focused small molecule drug discovery company comprised of a team of dedicated scientists who have worked together in GPCR drug discovery for more than 15 years. The Beacon team has delivered more than 20 drug candidates into clinical development, and of these two are now approved products, and six remain in clinical testing. As a GPCR drug discovery incubator, Beacon has leveraged its research portfolio and expertise to secure partnerships with both small biotech start-ups and large pharma partners. These partnerships represent validation of our approach. We believe that no other company can boast the experience or expertise of Beacon Discovery in the field of GPCR research for drug discovery. We use proprietary know-how and lessons learned from our years of experience with this target class to discover novel chemical matter for intractable GPCRs that have, to date, eluded traditional HTS screening approaches. Our team retains expertise in all aspects of GPCR drug discovery including: medicinal and computational chemistry, high throughput screening, and in vitro and in vivo pharmacology.

The Beaconsfield Golf Club was incorporated in 1904 under letters patent granted to Mr. Benjamin Tooke and 49 other founding members. Mr. Tooke, the first club president, was truly the father of the Club and in the family tradition of Beaconsfield, his great grandson, James Fraser, was also president seventy-five years later. The original course consisted of six holes, and annual dues were fifteen dollars. The fifteenth hole originally was a quarry, supplying stone for the construction of the Victoria Bridge in the mid-nineteenth century. The barn on the sixteenth housed work crews on this project and later became Beaconsfield's clubhouse. An indication of Club stability and environment can often be measured in the Club professional's tenure. Over Beaconsfield Golf Club's one hundred- and fifteen-year history, there have been but eight home pros. Jimmy Walter was the first Club pro followed by John Madden, Jimmy Black, Albert Murray, Jack Reynolds, Bill Kerr Sr. (twenty-eight years), Ron Healy (twenty-two years) and current Club Professional, Don Hachey.
