A state of the art studio, uplifting instructors coupled with beat based playlists to help drive your workout to a new high. Our friendly team is ready for you to join us and will help guide you to achieve your personal fitness and mental goals day in day out. OUR PRACTICE Our 3 signature workouts (Beat, Box and Breathe) find the perfect balance between cardio, strength, bodyweight, boxing and the breath to give you a complete fitness experience. All our workouts are cleverly curated to music where beats and choruses drive the experience. Each and every class consists of 10 songs (no more, no less) and last roughly 45 minutes. Our way of doing things physically, coupled with our in house nutritionist and program will get you the results you desire and the right head space you’ve been longing to find. OUR PROMISE To provide a fitness offering that is more than just fitness, it is an experience. We have spent a considerable amount of time creating something that is new and innovative for you to immerse yourself in. We promise that no 2 workouts are ever the same and when you arrive you’ll have no knowledge of what’s ahead. Formed by Iowa families whose children have been diagnosed with childhood cancer, the mission of Beat Cancer Today (www.beatcancertoday.org) is to create awareness of childhood cancer and provide financial support for continued childhood cancer research and patient and family support programs. Funds raised by Beat Cancer Today t-shirt sales and special events have been distributed to Band of Parents (www.bandofparents.org), Children’s Cancer Connection (www.childrenscancerconnection.org), Children's Oncology Group (www.childrensoncologygroup.org), Pascale's Pals (www.pascalespals.org) and University of Iowa Dance Marathon (dancemarathon.uiowa.edu). While not all of our committee members are parents of children with cancer, we have all been touched by childhood cancer in some way and are committed to working hard to raise awareness of it and provide financial support for continued research and support programs. Beat Cancer Today is completely run by volunteers, there is no paid staff. Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children, more than the next four childhood diseases combined. Facts provided by www.CureSearch/Childhood-Cancer-Statistics/: Nearly 13,500 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year, the equivalent of two school classrooms a day. Only 4% of Federal cancer research funding is directed to childhood cancers, which is the lowest in history. 1 out of 5 children diagnosed with cancer will not survive. 3 out of 5 children who do survive will suffer devastating, long-term side effects. In celebration of 25 years, we have opened up our very own DJ school - the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound. Located in Glendale, California, the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound offers fundamental and specialized DJ courses, workshops, private instruction, and an opportunity to join our community and learn the art form of DJ'ing "Beat Junkie Style"​ on state of the art equipment, in an intimate and professional environment. Our philosophy on teaching is not bound by genre, music style, or technology. We embrace all DJs and firmly believe that regardless of personal taste, we are all part of a unique, rich culture and history. At BJIOS, we approach DJing as a discipline, a fine art, a passion. We place strong emphasis on the fact that there are mechanics, techniques, and history that one must study and master to earn the title of DJ.
