Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) jest organizacją studencką, która działa przy największych europejskich uczelniach technicznych. Naszym celem jest kształtowanie nowego modelu inżyniera, osoby kreatywnej, posiadającej szeroką wiedzę menedżerską oraz otwartej na współpracę z ludźmi z kraju i zagranicy. Realizowanie rozmaitych projektów oraz podejmowane przez nas działania umożliwiają przyszłym inżynierom doskonalenie umiejętności zdobytych w trakcie studiów, rozwój oraz poszerzanie horyzontów poprzez poznawanie nowych kultur. Łączymy ze sobą trzy środowiska: studentów, uczelnie oraz partnerów, pozostając przy tym organizacją całkowicie apolityczną oraz niedochodową. Jesteśmy obecni w 32 krajach Europy na 95 uczelniach technicznych. Posiadamy ponad 3900 członków, a nasza grupa docelowa to ponad 1,3 mln studentów. Jako część międzynarodowej organizacji Stowarzyszenie Studentów BEST Gliwice działamy przy Politechnice Śląskiej od 1994 roku. Od samego początku istnienia wyróżnia nas dynamizm działania i zrozumienie potrzeb studentów. Nasza grupa lokalna składa się z ok. 60 aktywnych członków, stale chętnych do podejmowania nowych wyzwań i zmotywowanych do samodoskonalenia się. Co roku organizujemy kilkanaście wydarzeń, najważniejsze z nich to: - Konkurs Inżynierski EBEC, - BEST IT Festival, - Open Career Days, - międzynarodowe kursy naukowe.
