BBBS of Central Illinois serves the counties of Macon, McLean, Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Piatt and Livingston. We work to match carefully screened adult mentors with children in the community who need someone to look up to. Company Overview For more than 25 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois has been helping our communities' most vulnerable children through the power of a relationship with a Big Brother or Big Sister, giving kids the support and care they need to make good choices. When we match a carefully-screened, adult mentor with a child at-risk, the path to the future is re-paved with hope. And not just hope, but real change. An independent research group found that Big Brothers and Big Sisters are truly changing their Little Brothers and Little Sisters lives. Our Littles are half as likely to use drugs or to skip school. They avoid violence, and develop stronger relationships with adults and with their families. General Information Community-Based Mentoring In the Community-Based program Bigs and Littles typically meet 2-3 times a month, for a minimum of one calendar year. We recommend that you keep a consistent schedule and that you see each other on a regular basis. Share an activity that gives you something in common to talk about. You want to select activities that give each of you a chance to learn more about one another. Buy a comic book to read to each other, play a board game, or take a ride in the car with the radio on and discuss the music! For children, playing can be learning. Site-Based Mentoring Our Site-Based program allows Bigs and Littles meet once a week in schools, and after school sites, to talk and have fun. Bigs and Littles typically meet 45 minutes to one hour a week, throughout the school year, to read together, play sports or computer games, or simply talk about life and personal issues just as friends do!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada is a Federation comprised of 108 member agencies servicing more than 1,100 communities across the country. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington serves children in Belwood, Fergus, Elora, Salem, Alma and Ponsonby.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fredericton and Oromocto facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their full potential. Our association has been around since 1967. Over the years our agency has helped hundreds of children in our community. We look forward to serving those children for many more years. With the support of the Fredericton and Oromocto area we will continue "building futures through friendships"​.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nation-wide federation that has been the leader in one-to-one mentoring since 1904. There are currently over 450 agencies nationwide working together to invest in our future-the children we serve. Our local agency has been serving the Lubbock community since 1970. Originally known as Big Brothers, the agency added Big Sisters to the program in 1977. The agency began with the help of the Caprock chapter of the American Business Club (AMBUCS). Big Brothers Big Sisters is a partner agency of the Lubbock Area United Way. Our agency currently receives funding through Lubbock Area United Way, Helath and Human Services (HHS) - Mentoring Children of Prisoners, Dept. of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) - Community Youth Development, Texas Education Agency (TEA) - Amachi-Texas Governors Initiative, local fundraisers, and public support donations.

Big Brothers Big Sisters relies upon a wide range of support from companies and individuals, like employees of Garden Savings Federal Credit Union, above, to deliver quality mentoring to local children like Amir. When we first met him, Amir was a respectful child with a drive to get his own way; a loving, kind boy who needs a little time to grow up, his kindergarten teacher told us. She recommended Amir, who was growing up without his father, to Big Brothers Big Sisters and soon he was matched with Big Brother Tom. After 8 years together, Tom's a fixture in Amirs life. Theyve bonded over sports, particularly football. I watch all the Jets games with my Big Brother and his family, Amir told us, and its great time together for both of them. Tom capitalizes on making visits fun and constructive by weaving lessons about sportsmanship, attitude and life into game time. Amir's family is grateful for the role Tom plays in his life saying, Tom is the father figure Amir never had, and Amir is a better person because of him." Their friendship's important to Amir, too. Im a witness to the benefits of mentoring, he told us. Toms great, and hes really been there for me. If not for Big Brothers Big Sisters, I wouldnt have him in my life. Tom's friendship with Amir is special enough that he's been named 2014's National Big Brother of the Year. We want to bring the kind of transformative, positive influences Tom brings into Amir's life into the lives of more children in the 4 northern New Jersey counties we serve. Big Brothers Big Sisters believes every child is born with potential. Yet, one-third of the nation’s youth are growing up without a mentor who can help them overcome challenges such as poverty, unstable housing, absentee parents, and lack of access to educational resources. Since 1958, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire has provided youth facing adversity with professionally-supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. We tackle society’s issues head-on by delivering prevention-based, solution-focused mentoring programs that provide pathways for disconnected youth to achieve their educational dreams and succeed in living wage careers. With a caring mentor in their corner, youth are able to strive for long-term success and achieve their full potential. Our 4,000 volunteers, 4,000 children and families, staff, board of directors, and donors have chosen to invest in the future of Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Together, we empower youth. We inspire change. And we ignite potential. All through the power of mentoring.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. We serve children in Cumberland and York County and are one of over 300 BBBS agencies affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. We believe every child has the inherent ability to succeed in life. Some children, however, need a little more help. A little more listening, a little more one-on-one attention, a little more involvement with positive role models...and that just what we provide. We make and support matches between adult and high school volunteers ("Bigs"​) and youth ("Littles"​) between the ages of 7 and 18. We provide training and support to every match. In just 18 months of Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring, littles in our program are - more engaged in their schoolwork - have better relationships with family and friends - have a new perspective of what's possible It doesn't happen by itself. Both funding and volunteers are essential ingredients. BBBS relies totally on gifts from individuals, businesses, Foundations and partnership with the United Way to support the entire match process, from initial screening through professional ongoing match support.
