At the Centre for Crisis & Risk Communications, we are "Passionate about Preparedness."​ Supported by, and following the work of Dr. Vincent Covello, we can help your organization prepare to speak to the unspeakable. We offer crisis communication consultation, tools, training and workshops. We also specialize in media relations training which will compliment your crisis planning. We collaborate with multiple organizations when necessary so that you are completely supported through emergency response & business continuity planning, in addition to leadership & management training.

The Centre for Cultural Competence Australia (CCCA) is an organisation that is dedicated to the training and development of individuals and organisations in the field of Indigenous Cultural Competence. Founded by professionals and experts within the fields of Indigenous Research & Development; technology; and communications the purpose of the organisation is to increase the understanding of Indigenous cultures, their history, values, and how to effectively live and work together. The mission of the Centre is to close the gap with indigenous communities through education.

The mission of the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health, established in 2019, is to improve health services and patient self-management through digital innovation. We solve complex real-world problems, generate evidence for changes to practice, and measure health outcomes that matter to patients. We do this by bringing together researchers, businesses, educators, healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Our approach is hands-on: building an end-to-end pipeline for digital health innovations, including design, development, and technical and clinical evaluation, to facilitate implementation and adoption. Our vision is connected health — digitally-enabled care to provide a seamless patient journey in which health workers and patients thrive. Led by Professor Wendy Chapman, the Centre is a part of The University of Melbourne Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, in partnership with Computing and Information Systems in the Melbourne School of Engineering.

The Centre for Disability Studies (CDS) is a non-profit organisation, affiliated with the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. We have been in operation since 1997. Our vision is Building Capacity for Change. Our mission is to create and disseminate knowledge that improves the lives of people with disability. We focus on designing and developing research, teaching and workforce development initiatives, and clinical practice that informs disability policy and practice. Our work is guided by the lived experience of people with disability, and we strive to meaningfully engage people with disability in the creation, development and execution of our programs. The Centre for Disability Studies offers research, evaluation and expertise. We work with a range of stakeholders including people with disability, non government organisations across the sector, government, and family members. Through our close links with research communities worldwide we have both an Australian and international focus We consist of a multi-disciplinary team from diverse backgrounds including medicine, health sciences, education, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, sociology and law. Our approach is person-centred and based upon the social model of disability.

The Centre for Disaster Protection finds better ways to stop disasters devastating lives and economies, by supporting countries to better manage disaster risk. We have convened the Crisis Lookout coalition which calls on the G7 to make urgent changes to how the world responds to risk and reacts to disasters. We propose a new approach for funding disasters that predicts the greatest risks, puts plans in place to respond when shocks occur, and makes sure communities have the funds they need when it matters most. We aim to be a ‘positive disrupter’, challenging the world to find better ways to prepare for and respond to disasters. We firmly believe that better is possible and we want to support countries and organisations as they take control and act earlier to protect people’s futures. Our niche area of expertise is disaster risk financing. We want to see a change in the way the world pays for disasters so that adequate support is available to those who need it, when they need it. This means not only looking at budgetary and financial tools available to governments to ensure money is available on a timely basis but also developing effective systems to plan and deliver that support to the most vulnerable people, ideally in a way that reduces future risks and needs. At the Centre, we want to help grow the emerging evidence base on how to better reach and support people in need. We want to work with governments and organisations to: create practical solutions; incentivise proactive risk management and risk financing; and support risk-informed decision-making. We want to increase the quality of budgetary and financial mechanisms and tools, and the quantity of finance that is available to countries to help manage, and ultimately reduce, their risks. The Centre is funded with UK aid from the UK government.

We are excited to announce that the Centre for Emotional Health (CEH) now falls under the newly established Macquarie University Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre. The Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre integrates the Centre for Emotional Health and the Centre for Ageing Cognition & Wellbeing, and builds on these strengths by joining with members from the eCentreClinic, Centre for Research into Early Childhood Education, Health & Wellbeing Unit, the Multilingualism Research Centre, Centre for the Health Economy, the Macquarie Law School as well as individuals from across Macquarie University. The Centre for Entertainment Arts offers Diplomas in Advanced 3D Animation, Visual Effects, and Game Development as well as a Foundation in Entertainment Arts Certificate, in collaboration with public institutions in Canada. International students are eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) for up to three years. Our curriculum will provide students the critical skills and knowledge, both technical and professional, to enter the industry with confidence. We have assembled a team of instructors and faculty that have 500 plus years combined industry experience, with over 400 film, TV and game credits that include blockbuster movies, world renowned television and fan favorite video games.
