Le CERENE est le Centre de Référence pour l’Evaluation Neuropsychologique de l’Enfant, indépendant des écoles. C’est un centre clinique au service du diagnostic des enfants présentant des troubles des apprentissages tels que la dyslexie, la dyspraxie, la dysphasie ou les troubles de l’attention, qu’ils soient ou non scolarisés dans les écoles du CERENE. Fondé en 2008, il est constitué d’une équipe de neuropsychologues qui établissent des bilans complets et précis des troubles de l’enfant. Les écoles sont nées du constat qu’il n’existe pas suffisamment de structures adaptées aux troubles DYS. Les enfants accueillis dans les écoles CERENE sont pertinents, mais sont juste pénalisés dans leur apprentissage par des troubles instrumentaux (langage, lecture, graphisme…). Les programmes s’appuient sur ceux de l’Education Nationale avec une révision des fondamentaux. La pédagogie tire parti des technologies d’assistance (cartable numérique, ordinateur, logiciels…) pour contourner les difficultés de l’élève avec des méthodes spécialement développées au sein de l’école.
