With a history of 60 years, Scierie de Challans is one of the oldest sawmills in the Great West region of France, known for its esteemed expertise and proven experience. We offer a wide range of species in which we are considered specialists, both imported (from Africa, Asia and the United States) as well as French timber. Since its inception in Challans (Vendée region), close to the main timber terminal ports of La Rochelle and Nantes, the operations of Scierie de Challans have continued to adapt to the demands of its clients. Originally active in sawing operations and trading, Scierie de Challans has gradually integrated drying, steaming, stocking, lumber, production boards, and more recently a jointing and gluing line. These numerous investments have allowed Scierie de Challans to offer its customers products from the first and second transformation, like the multiply which benefits from CTB-LCA certifications. Maintaining the satisfaction and trust of our customers is our primary goal, whether it is about traceability and origin of timber, product quality, storage conditions, client specific demands or responsiveness in delivery, for which we operate our own fleet of trucks. Our passion for wood starts with the respect of our most important supplier: the forest. We know that only sustainably managed forests can produce the optimum quality of wood that we are seeking. This translates into a strict selection policy of suppliers.

Challenge 4 Change is a registered charity that provides learning through fun and makes a real difference. It teaches effective communication skills, team skills, inspires confidence and motivation and enables people to overcome their perceived barriers in order to progress. C4C raises their aspirations and works with those members of society who are in most need. The Challenge 4 Change Centre is the only indoor training centre of its kind in the North of England. Based in Trafford Park the C4C centre combines training and conference facilities with a 13 station aerial runway over 35 feet off the ground, a high ropes training course and a low level obstacle course.

Challenge Academy is a Community Interest Company with a wealth of outdoor activity delivery experience. Our aim is to bring innovative and accessible outdoor learning opportunities to the community and engage all abilities. We are based at Baggeridge Country Park and are proud to present a number of activities, resources and programmes to suit everyone, all ages and all abilities.

Over 65 years ago we were a small band of parents and friends seeking support services for our children with disabilities. Today, Challenge Community Services has grown to be one of the largest community support services in New South Wales and South East Queensland. Challenge provides support to over 2500 people from Albury to Ipswich, Sydney, Dubbo, Tamworth and beyond. With over 1,100 staff, 70 of which have a disability, we strive to comply with and exceed all standards required under State and Federal Acts. We have established various services including Disability Services, Foster Care, Allied Health and Business Services. Challenge is committed to providing person-centred programs and support to foster carers, children and young people, people with a disability and their families.
