Child Care Resources Inc. is a private, non-profit child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agency that works with families and communities to ensure that all children have access to high quality, affordable early learning and school-age opportunities and experiences that enable them to succeed in school and in life. Our centers of expertise include: Family Information Services: Delivering information, education and support so that families select early learning and school-age child care services that promote child well being. Program and Business Consultation: Promoting early care and education and school-age child care program excellence through quality improvement, quality assurance services, and effective business practice. Financial Aid: Increasing the ability of eligible working families to afford early learning and school-age child care services and increasing the business capacity of child care programs to serve their children well. Research and Policy Development: Advancing policy and public support for accessible, affordable, and improved early learning and school-age child care services for all children, birth through age 12.

Child First is an intensive, early childhood, two-generation, home visiting intervention that works with a community’s most vulnerable young children (prenatal through age five years) and their families. Child First identifies children at risk of behavioral or learning problems and works with their families to address multiple risk factors such as poverty, trauma and exposure to violence, abuse and neglect, depression, substance use, and homelessness. Child First is based on two core components: 1) a comprehensive and coordinated system-of-care approach to provide individualized support and services to the child and family, and 2) relationship-based approaches to enhance nurturing and positive development. Child First is delivered in the family home to increase engagement and participation. The program is provided by a two-member team, consisting of a care coordinator and a licensed mental health clinician, referred to as a child development specialist. Families and the Child First team work together to develop a comprehensive plan that includes treatment activities and goals, supports, and services. The care coordinator connects families with community-based services addressing challenges relating to health, mental health, early childhood, and education, and with other social supports. The clinician is trained to provide trauma-informed, child–parent psychotherapy to build parenting skills and develop a more nurturing and responsive relationship between the parent and child. The Child First team works with families for 6 to 12 months through home visits of between 60 to 90 minutes. During the first month of the intervention, the assessment phase, the Child First team makes twice-weekly home visits. During the remaining months of the intervention phase, one or both of the Child First team members conduct weekly home visits or more, as needed.

The Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) was founded by a group of child health researchers in Bangladesh in 2007 with a mission to improve child health in Bangladesh and other countries through quality research and education in order to facilitate the decision making on appropriate child health policies. The founder’s motivation to form CHRF came from the realization that developing countries like Bangladesh often lack good scientific evidence upon which rational and timely policy decisions can be created, this lack of information often results in poor use of the limited resources available for health. The scarcity of reliable evidence and informed advocacy in turn, discourages government and donors from investing in child health. CHRF has established collaborations with different national and international organizations like USAID, WHO, Johns Hopkins University, ICDDR,B International Vaccine Institute (IVI), Novartis Vaccine Institute for Global Health and others. In addition to research, the foundation is also making efforts to work with other non-profit hospitals to facilitate low-cost diagnostic services for the poor patients with a vision to i) improve child health, and ii) generate evidence for policy decisions. Through an association with the Department of Microbiology at Dhaka Shishu Hospital and a consortium of urban and rural hospitals, CHRF has access to patients, communities and research facilities and is able to inform and improve public health approaches and contribute to scientific and medical knowledge and procedures for application in the South Asia and the broader developing world.

Child Impact International is a nonprofit Christian organization committed to making a difference in the lives of impoverished children and families regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, or political beliefs. We are dedicated to sharing God's love by empowering the less fortunate and building their capabilities. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Child Impact provides impoverished and special-needs children a means to a Christian education through sponsorship programs in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Papua New Guinea, and Zambia. Child Impact also funds four orphanages, a school for the blind, and a school for the deaf in India. In addition, our "Operation Child Rescue" program rescues trafficked girls, slum children and abandoned infants in India. A little help goes a long way here. Sponsor a child today.
