The Childhood Cancer Association is one of Australia's key childhood cancer support organisations. We’re here to help families from South Australia and the Northern Territory — and we also support country Victoria and New South Wales families if their child receives treatment in Adelaide. Ever since 1982, it’s been our mission to provide practical, hands-on support for children with cancer, and their families. We were formed by a group of parents of children with cancer who responded to the needs they had identified themselves. This group, with the help of Paediatric Oncologist Dr Michael Rice, began to build the services that now form the basis of what we do. Our support is tailored to meet the needs of each individual family. We rely solely on the generous support of the people like you and businesses like yours to help us continue to provide vital services and support to families in need.
As one of Australia’s leading childhood cancer support organisations, Childhood Cancer Support is a family focused charity offering regional families a place to call home while their child undergoes life-saving cancer treatment. When your child is diagnosed with cancer, everything else in life takes a backseat. Childhood Cancer Support is your helping hand at a time when you need it most. That’s why we’re here. Our Mission To provide stability to the lives of children undergoing treatment for cancer and their families through the provision of specialised accommodation, emotional and financial support, transportation and recreational therapies. Our Vision That all regional families have equal access to accommodation and tailored family support services to help them cope when their child is diagnosed with cancer.
