Christ College was started in 1956, by the Devamatha Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), an indigenous religious congregation founded in 1831 by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. a religious priest and versatile genius, who envisioned education as a tool for liberation and development.

Beginning with a group of six families in 1984, Christ Community Church has grown to over 5000 weekend attenders, including our DeKalb Campus in DeKalb County, our Aurora Campus in southern Kane County, and our Streamwood Campus in Cook County. A significant focus on reaching spiritually lost people has resulted in over 200 new believers being baptized each year. Christ Community had humble beginnings with services held in a rented movie theater. Weekly activities now take place in our 100,000 square foot St. Charles Campus with weekend celebration services held in our 2000 seat auditorium. Jim Nicodem has been the senior pastor of Christ Community Church since its birth in 1984. Born and raised in the Midwest, Jim received his BA from Wheaton College, and his MDiv and DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Jim is passionate about prayer and is the author of Prayer Coach, For All Who Want to Get Off the Bench and Onto the Praying Field.

Christ Community Evangelical Free Church is one church with multiple locations in the Kansas City metro area whose mission is to be a caring family of multiplying disciples influencing our community and world for Jesus Christ. Christ Community currently meets in five locations - Brookside, Downtown, Leawood, Olathe, and Shawnee Mission.

Founded in 1996 in the Woodlands, TX, Christ Community School is a private, nondenominational Christian school serving children ages 18 months through 6th grade. Christ Community School is equipping students to serve and lead in Christ; providing education in an environment that supports every child in their individual, intellectual, spiritual, and academic needs.

The Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod established and maintained Christian elementary schools in the United States thereby giving tangible witness to the importance, which our National Church has placed on training our children in fundamental doctrines of Christian faith. For this purpose, Christ the Cornerstone Academy was established in 1978. We want our children to be truly brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord through daily contact with the great teachings of the Holy Bible and the love of Christ.
