Abilene City Hall is located at 555 Walnut Street in downtown Abilene, and is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. City employees work to carry out our mission of working together to build and maintain a community of the highest quality for present and future generations. The City of Abilene, Kansas is a city located near the Flint Hills of Kansas. Abilene is located about 25 miles west of Junction City, 32 miles west of Fort Riley (home of Big Red One), and 30 miles east of the regional center of Salina. Abilene has a population of approximately 6,800 people. Attractions in Abilene include the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Old Abilene Town, the Greyhound Museum, and the Seeley Mansion. The City is governed by a five member Commission that is responsible for creating policy to guide the community and organization. The City Manager is charged with the daily management and administration of the organization. The City manages a $16.7 million operating budget that provides various services to the community. With over 30,000 residents Aiken is the largest city in, and the county seat of, Aiken County, in western South Carolina. With Augusta, Georgia, it is one of the two largest cities of the Central Savannah River Area. Founded in 1835, Aiken was named after William Aiken, the president of the South Carolina Railroad. It became part of Aiken County when the county was formed in 1871 from parts of Orangeburg, Lexington, Edgefield, and Barnwell counties.

Alhambra is a full-service City with 4 major parks, public library, an 18-hole municipal golf course, more than 30 churches, community hospital, theaters, shopping centers and business and industrial districts. There are also 13 elementary schools, 4 high schools and 7 private schools within Alhambra’s boundaries. The campus of California State University at Los Angeles is located adjacent to Alhambra.
