Marine City is a charming Michigan town sitting at the confluence of the St. Clair and Belle rivers. Founded by the French and their "Ribbon farms," we are a border city just a short ride across the St. Clair river from Ontario, Canada. Our French heritage is still evident in the names of many people and places here. The City of Marion is a local government area in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. It is one of the state’s larger metropolitan councils covering an area of about 55 km sq, and is located 10 km south of Adelaide stretching from the Glenelg tramline in Glandore to the coastal suburb of Hallett Cove. Our population of about 88,000 residents is showing healthy growth, due in part to overseas migration which welcomes newcomers from countries such as the United Kingdom, India, China, the Philippines, the eastern countries of Africa and many others. The original inhabitants of Marion, the Kaurna people, were supported by the Sturt River and surrounding bushland which provided food and shelter. European settlers also found the banks of this river inviting and in 1838, just two years after the colony was founded, Colonel William Light laid out the Village of Marion.

Council's main duties include the enactment of the City's annual budget. Council sets fiscal policies and approves all spending, whether for operations (e.g., salaries) or capital items such as major equipment purchases, street repairs, or other public improvements. The regulation of land use, including the creation and amendment of zoning laws, is another significant Council responsibility.

Martensville is located eight kilometers north of Saskatoon. Mason City is a city in the U.S. State of Iowa and is the county seat of Cerro Gordo County. Located midway between Minneapolis and Des Moines, the city has a population of 28,079. It is the largest retail, employment and healthcare hub for the region. The City employs approximately 250 full-time and 150 seasonal employees. The employees of the City of Mason City are dedicated to meeting the needs of its citizens. Highly trained professionals deliver police and fire services to the community. The City of McCall is a four-season, recreation-oriented community in central Idaho, approximately 100 miles north of Boise. The resident population is 2,991 (2010 Census), but the area population grows dramatically during the peak summer and winter seasons. The City has an annual budget for FY12 of 14.7 million dollars. The City has 74 regular employees and hires 20 to 25 temporary seasonal employees each year. The organization is made up of ten departments consisting of: Police, Community Development, Public Works (including Streets, Water, and Sewer), City Clerk, Finance, Parks and Recreation, Municipal Airport, Library, Golf Course, and Information Systems.
