The City of New Berlin is a government body serving a community of over 40,000 residents in the greater Milwaukee Area. The staff at New Berlin are dedicated to serving our community in an efficient and effective manner, keeping tax rates low while providing all essential services expected by our residents. The City of New Berlin is made of 15 departments, working together to accomplish goals to continue to improve how government functions.

Although New Hope, located in the Northwest Suburbs of the Twin Cities, is considered a fully developed community, the city is in a period of growth in population, housing and businesses. Regional forecasts show New Hope's population increasing slightly over the next few decades (2020 Census was 21,986). Between 2015 and 2020, 292 new units of housing were constructed in the city and more new housing is in the planning process. Many homeowners are also reinvigorating existing homes by expanding or making improvements that suit their lifestyle. Over the past couple of years, the city has issued an average of approximately 2,500 building permits annually, representing an investment of about $38 million each year in New Hope homes and businesses. New Hope has a thriving business community of nearly 500 businesses. The city has a strong industrial tax base, with three major industrial parks, and a strong commercial sector, with five commercial and retail centers. New Hope’s businesses continue to grow, often requiring significant building expansions and renovations. New Hope's employers provide a significant number of jobs. It is estimated that there are more than 10,000 jobs located in New Hope.

The City of New Smyrna Beach, often referred to as “Florida’s Best Beach,” is a coastal community of 26,740 with over 17 miles of pristine beaches. The City of Newberg is the governing authority of Newberg, a town with a population of 23,306 (2016) located in the beautiful Chehalem Valley (Valley of the Flowers) on the Willamette River, about 25 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon. The City of Newberg provides police, street maintenance, library, public improvements, planning and zoning, water and sewage treatment services. The City enjoys a highly diverse economic base. Many of the City’s “home-grown” businesses have become leaders within their respective industries, such as dental equipment, electronics and manufacturing. George Fox University, offering bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, adult degree programs, and 12 master’s and doctoral degrees; a branch of Portland Community College; and Providence Newberg Medical Center are located in the City. The city is very proud of its history. The first tea party in opposition to England's tax on tea was held in Newburyport, well before the more famous one in Boston. We are pleased to be the birthplace of the United States Coast Guard. The first ship commissioned for the Coast Guard, the frigate Massachusetts, was built in the City. Protective of its heritage, the City launched a massive redevelopment scheme in the early 1960s, using state and federal funds to reclaim its historic neighborhoods of granite, brick and cobblestones and provide up-to-date infrastructure such as water and sewer renovations. Today Newburyport is thriving with local retailers, vibrant restaurants, a performing arts center, and various festivals, activities and events. Incorporated in 1994, Newcastle is a relatively new city with a storied past. Before Washington became a state, Newcastle was one of the most successful coal mining towns in northwestern Washington. Nearly 11 million tons of coal was extracted from the area between 1869 and 1963. Coal from Newcastle helped fuel the growth of the entire Puget Sound region. Thirty years after the end of the coal mining era, a movement began toward local government and control. In April 1993, proponents succeeded in passing a ballot measure to establish 4.4 square miles of unincorporated King County into the City of Newport Hills. The city officially incorporated Sept. 30, 1994, as Newport Hills, and after a November 1994 vote, the city's name was changed to Newcastle.
