The Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County, Inc. (CAPE) is a private non-profit corporation which was established in 1965. Originally under the auspices of the city of Evansville, CAPE became a non-profit corporation in 1970. CAPE is governed by a tri-partite Board of Directors consisting of representatives from the private and public sector as well as the communities served. Providing services to customers in Vanderburgh, Posey, and Gibson Counties in southwestern Indiana, both CAPE services and funding have grown immensely during the past 45 years. Programs include the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, Weatherization, child care, homeless housing services, Foster Grandparents, and the state of Indiana's Energy Assistance Program. Also provided are tutoring services at the Learning Center for those wishing to enhance their reading/math/computer skills or prepare for GED testing, as well as the Individual Development Accounts (IDA) program, whereby qualified customers may save earned income that will be matched on a 3:1 basis to be utilized to buy a home, start a small business, or continue their education. Homeownership Counseling/Down payment Assistance programs and Financial Literacy classes are also available to make homeownership a reality for customers who previously may not have qualified for homeownership.

Community Action Services and Food Bank (CASFB) has been fostering self-reliance in individuals, families, and the community since 1967. We help stabilize families through housing and food assistance, then assist those struggling with poverty to move towards financial independence through financial literacy education, mentoring, and case management support. In keeping with the Community Action Promise, CASFB helps change people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community and are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. Through an ongoing focus on current community needs, CAW/M cultivates innovative solutions to poverty. Its Head Start programs work to close the opportunity gap through a two-generation approach, assisting families in developing and supporting education for their children. CAW/M's economic assistance programs support people in achieving their goals for their financial well-being and housing stability.

Community Against Violence (CAV) mission is to foster and support a community free from all forms of domestic and sexual violence. CAV offers a 24-Hour Crisis Hotline (575.758.9888) for survivors of domestic & sexual violence. We provide legal & medical advocacy services, counseling & support groups, childrens programs, community prevention and outreach programs, and are able to provide information & resources for those in need. CAV also has on-site an emergency shelter for adults and children, and offers short & long-term transitional housing programs. All services are free & confidential. Community Against Violence is the only agency in Taos County that works solely with survivors of domestic and sexual violence and is the only domestic violence shelter in Taos County. CAV employs a client-centered, client-directed approach to intervention, which begins from the assumption that each client is an expert on her/his own situation and needs, and that given the time, information, skills and support our staff can provide, each client has the capacity to make positive and appropriate choices toward her/his future well-being. Our vision is for residents of Taos County and immediate surrounding areas to be safe from all forms of violence. As an organization we respond to individuals and families in crisis; provide ongoing support for those healing from the effects of domestic and sexual violence; and reach out to children, adults, and organizations to educate and prevent future violence.

Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA)s mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to be free from abuse through collaboration, prevention, awareness, and support. Our agency was founded in 1998 by community members who were confronted by the tragic reality that local victims of domestic violence and their children were living in their cars and out in the desert because they had nowhere to go. CAAFA has grown substantially since then, now serving victims of domestic abuse from eastern Maricopa and northern Pinal County and victims of sexual abuse from eastern Maricopa and all of Pinal County. We provide a 16-bed emergency shelter, support groups, legal advocacy, case management, sexual assault victim advocacy, nutritional support through food boxes, and community outreach services.

A member-owned financial cooperative dedicated to provide our members and our community with exceptional service, financial products and education. We have been meeting the financial needs of members and their families since 1966. Membership is available to employees of the Auto Club Group or any of its subsidiary companies, all family members and all retirees. Membership is also available to those people, businesses and organizations who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in Wayne, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties. As a member/owner of Community Alliance Credit Union, you have the right to vote for members to serve on the Credit Union Board of Directors.
