Community CROPS (Combining Resources, Opportunities, and People for Sustainability) helps people work together to grow healthy food and live sustainably. Our gardens provide the opportunity to share knowledge, educate, experience personal growth, and provide green spaces for mental, spiritual and physical healing and well-being. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and adults in our communities by providing needed, accessible, comprehensive, quality oral health care. Community Dental provides oral health treatment, disease prevention, education services and emergency care for people of all ages residing in southern, western and central Maine. Our dental centers are located in Lewiston, Farmington, Portland, and Biddeford. Community Dental is the dental home for over 20,000 children and adults, providing approximately 48,000 dental visits each year. Through research, community development, planning and promoting volunteerism, Community Development Halton strives to improve the quality of life for all residents of Halton. The primary purpose of CDH is to build and strengthen the community of Halton. It focuses on the social impact of larger social, economic, political and cultural forces on individuals, families and the broad community. CDH is committed to social development as a desired state of community well-being and social change as a continual process towards achieving and sustaining social development for everyone in the community. CDH shall endeavour to accomplish this purpose by: * identifying community needs * developing community awareness of identified trends and needs * facilitating and supporting community response to identified trends and needs * facilitating communication and coordinated planning between members of the community, local organizations and governments to develop ways to address these needs * advocating for change CDH values: community, voluntarism, diversity, equity and social justice. Since its inception in 1992, the Community Development Partnership has become a leader in developing and delivering innovative programs that foster an economically and environmentally sustainable Lower Cape Cod community. As a community development corporation, we value economic diversity and foster a sense of inclusion and participation of local area residents, business owners and leaders. Throughout our twenty-four year history, the CDP has continued to adapt to the ever-shifting economic and demographic landscape of our area while maintaining our commitment to strengthening and expanding the building blocks of a vibrant local economy. The CDP is a steward for critical community resources such as decent and safe rental housing for low and moderate residents, micro-loan funds that help unleash the entrepreneurial spirit in the region and fishing quota that has preserved our small scale fishing fleet. More recently, we’ve developed a model to increase the production of local renewable energy and lower the cost of electricity for low income families.

CDP helps projects and organizations get organized and get funded through training, coaching and consultative services. Our goal is to help organizations operate more efficiently and more effectively to make our communities better places to live, work and raise our families. We partner with key stakeholders that include educational institutions, nonprofits, community-based businesses and local government.

Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC) is a public-private community development finance institution that provides financial resources and technical expertise for community-based and other non-profit organizations engaged in effective community development in Massachusetts. CEDAC’s work supports three key building blocks of community development: affordable housing and early care and education. CEDAC is also active in state and national housing preservation policy research and development and is widely recognized as a leader in the non-profit community development industry.
