Junior Enterprises are educational means within engineering schools, business schools and universities, which contribute to students' employability. Leadership and management, business development, strategy... These are only a few of the skills that students acquire by carrying out projects for clients: 3,500 projects each year for 2,000 different companies. SMEs (41%), large companies (15%) or public institutions (8%) entrust Junior Enterprises with their projects and give Junior Entrepreneurs the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge, to use by carrying out the projects. More than internships and school assignments, Junior Enterprises are a real opportunity for students to experiment, differentiate themselves and gain a valuable professional experience. They offer support and training for tomorrow's executives by giving them the possibility to develop a real professional expertise in contact with a variety of clients. At the same time, these students are given the opportunity to broaden their horizons by working for large companies, institutions or non-profits. Finally, Junior Enterprises allow students to build a real network and to acquire both technical and managerial skills during their studies. Maintaining close links with UK Department for Business, Energy, Innovation and Skills (BEIS), Transport and the Regions, and the Health & Safety Executive, CBM ensures that the members' interests are represented in the consultative processes which precede legislative or regulatory initiatives.
