The Confederation of School Trusts is the national membership organisation and sector body for school trusts in England advocating for, connecting and supporting executive and governance leaders. We are a membership organisation of organisations. This means that the organisation – the Trust – is the member.

CONFER is an independent organisation established by psychotherapists in 1998 to provide innovative, challenging and inspiring continuing educational events for psychotherapists, psychologists and other mental health workers. Our publishing began in 2020, shortly after Confer Ltd. acquired Karnac, which had existed as a specialist bookshop and publisher for psychotherapy and psychoanalysis since the1950’s. We identified an opportunity to expand the work of Confer through book publishing, combining the inclusivity and creativity of the events side of the business with Karnac’s specialist publishing for a new generation of readers in the field of psychotherapy and related branches of mental health. Acquired by Confer in 2020, the Karnac Bookshop is an international destination bookshop dedicated to psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and related subjects such as organizations, family, child, and adolescent studies.

Conference & Touring started out in 1989 just a few months before the Berlin Wall fell. With only a handful of young ambitious staff we quickly established ourselves as one of the leading Destination Management Companies in Germany. Between 1997 and 2005 we then opened the offices in Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne which enables us to deliver high quality incentives, conferences, events and also cruise services with the same high standards all over Germany. Now we have a total of 9 offices, including Vienna, Zurich, Geneva and Prague. Our 100+ full time all year round staff takes great pride in the things we do.
