SUNY Corning Community College is a two-year college located in the Southern Tier region of New York, with a main campus in Corning, Workforce Development in Elmira and additional sites throughout the Southern Tier. SUNY CCC offers more than 40 academic programs, more than 800 courses, and customized business training opportunities to support students of all ages and backgrounds. Founded in 1957, CCC began modestly in a scattering of old buildings in the city of Corning. Today, we encompass a 550-acre main campus on Spencer Hill with a complex of several buildings, including an observatory, planetarium, and a Health Education Center located in downtown Corning. With numerous off-campus sites throughout Steuben, Chemung and Schuyler counties, we educate thousands of students throughout the region. The College favours a holistic approach which values student health and wellbeing as much as academics. Students explore diverse interests alongside their academics, with cocurricular opportunities spanning the arts, STEM and sport, and community programs to develop positive relationships and mental health. The mission of Cornish College of the Arts is to provide students aspiring to become practicing artists with an educational program of the highest possible quality, in an environment that nurtures creativity and intellectual curiosity, while preparing them to contribute to society as artists, citizens, and innovators. Cornish realizes this mission by offering baccalaureate studies in the performing and visual arts and by serving as a focal point in the community for public presentation, artistic criticism, participation and discussion of the arts.
