nonprofit organization management
Canadian Parents for French-BC & Yukon Branch is a parent-led, non-profit organization that has worked for more than 30 years to provide French-language educational, social, cultural and sporting activities for youth. Through our local chapters, CPF provides support, information and resources for parents with children studying French, whether through an immersion, intensive or basic French programme. We work with school boards, teachers, parent advisory councils and the federal and provincial governments to suggest and monitor policies and programmes that affect the access to and quality of our childrens French educational programmes. CPF works with parents to fund and organize a range of events, from French summer camps and year-round sporting events, to public-speaking competitions, film festivals, concerts and parent workshops. We offer bursaries to students interested in teaching French in BC or Yukon. We monitor how federal and provincial educational dollars are invested in French programmes in your community. We help raise awareness about the benefits of second-language learning for all children. CPF believes in a bilingual Canada where young Canadians have the opportunity to learn both of Canadas official languages, English and French. We believe every child has the right to become a bilingual citizen through French second language programs such as the French Immersion program and the FSL/Core French program.
“We bring together professionals from across a broad spectrum of the parking and mobility industries to network, provide training, develop and adapt new technologies and enhance customer experiences for the betterment of our communities and industry.” - CPA Board of Directors
