Founded in 1936, we are a member-owned, not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative. CBEC serves the rural sections of seven counties. Our mountainous area contains a large portion owned by the National Forest, the Virginia Department of Forestry, and the Appalachian Trail. CBEC services 1,215 miles of power lines delivering energy to rural customers. Each member-owner will be provided with the benefit of safe, reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost consistent with sound management and the Cooperative principles.

Craigie Mains is a small consultancy business advising growth companies in the UK. It works predominantly at Board level with SME's in the service sector. The principal focus is on improving returns to owners through strategic initiatives usually related to finance, marketing and operations.
