We are a well established charity based in Bristol, dedicated in helping homeless and people with life disrupting problems. Our purpose is to see lives transformed through offering food, shelter, hope and support to the most vulnerable and marginalised in our community. Our main project areas are: The Wild Goose Drop-In Centre where clients can receive free hot food, practical support and signposting to other appropriate social and voluntary services. The LIFE course helps clients who are in recovery to develop resilience through the development of practical life skills. The Spring of Hope Womens' Night Shelter provides emergency accommodation as well as emotional support and practical support, to women fleeing from abuse, relationship breakdown and sex work. The East Bristol Foodbank provides short-term emergency food provision to those in extreme need. In 2015, we placed 359 persons into short term and long-term accommodation, provided 144 women with emergency shelter, 481 counts of practical help which includes sleeping bags, clothing and furniture, served 3200 meals every week in 50 weeks of the year and handed out 1581 food parcels, which fed 3606 people, 1483 of which were children.
