Crisis Services Canada is a collaboration of non-profit distress and crisis service centres from across Canada whose members have been working together since 2002 to reduce the impact of suicide. Founded in 1966, Crisis Support Services of Alameda County offers a broad range of counseling, education and prevention services in a safe environment. CSS’ 24-hour crisis hotline responds to more than 65,000 calls each year. Services include on-going therapy groups, school-based counseling, supportive services for seniors, suicide prevention for youth; and community education. Crisis Support Services of Alameda County recognizes and understands the impact of trauma including the challenge of accessing supportive services. The Next Generation of Crisis Management Training CrisisVR is a pioneering e-learning service that enables students to prepare for crisis situations using a Virtual Reality environment. CrisisVR combines teachings from real-world crisis events with state-of-the-art technology. The result sets new standards in crisis management training. CrisisVR provides remote training at the pace and convenience of the student. Students will benefit from being immersed into a crisis scenario and practicing their response, bringing them face-to-face with Crisis. Generic courses, developed by experienced professionals, include: - Caring for families and victims (Special Assistance) - Crisis Communications for front-line spokespersons - Travel safety - 'How-to' series on Business Continuity skills CrisisVR is for individual delegates but also for companies. Large or small organisations can benefit from bespoke e-learning that includes your own procedures, organisation and branding. Using our web-based portal, training managers can control access, scheduling and feedback. CrisisVR for companies is a cost-effective and efficient way of delivering training to new staff or refresher training to others. CrisisVR licences will be for the numbers you require to train and the time you need to train them.
