The CMRF has operated since 1960, funding medical research in the Canterbury Region and running its own Brain Research Institute in Christchurch. The Foundation accepts applications through various funding rounds and from potential funding partners through the year.

Founded in 1915 and guided by our Catholic heritage, Canterbury is a college preparatory, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12. The School prides itself on creating a community based on its Five Values—Honesty, Respect, Compassion, Spirituality, and Self Reliance—in which students and faculty forge lasting bonds and every student experiences a broad and challenging program in a small school setting. The School’s educational environment fosters academic rigor, athletic development, artistic enrichment, spiritual growth and strives to ensure a superior experience that prepares students for leading colleges and universities and for life. With its rigorous and humane approach to students, both in and out of the classroom, Canterbury’s program inculcates vital intellectual and ethical habits of mind. Canterbury School is part of a long Episcopal school tradition of strong academics, an inquiry-based approach to learning, and a diverse environment. We give a central place to both the life of reason and the life of faith, and we believe that the ultimate purpose of education is to prepare students to become contributors to and leaders in an ever-changing world. Our PreK-8 structure concentrates on the learning needs and development of young children and middle school adolescents, without the added complexities of the high school experience. Since our founding in 1993, we have stressed that the most complete education develops the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. Canterbury maintains a staff of approximately 70 employees, and its teaching faculty are a healthy mix of veteran, mid- and early-career educators who enjoy small class sizes where every child is known, cared for, and loved. Students of color comprise about 20 percent of our student body of 350. Our school is situated on a beautiful 35-acre campus with a natural area, ropes course, and pond – and also a well-equipped science center. From chess to outdoor exploration, faculty are encouraged to share their passions, and students and teachers participate together in service learning, as well. Canterbury Cougars are active in Greensboro, and we’re told that our students are some of the most polite in town – but they’re also still kids who love to have fun in a community that challenges their minds and nourishes their spirits.

Founded in 1968, Canterbury School of Florida is a college preparatory, independent school located on two campuses in St. Petersburg, Florida. Canterbury serves students in grades Pre-K 3 through 12, emphasizing academics, character education, community, and spirituality in the Episcopal tradition. We're an independent tech organisation that brings together businesses, tertiary and government to elevate opportunities for our 400+ members and community. The idea for Canterbury Tech was born in 2003 when a group of like-minded CEO’s, business owner’s and tech entrepreneurs connected informally to talk about ways they could help each other and support the technology and innovation sector in Canterbury. Since then, we have been the voice and connector of local technology companies and have seen the sector grow to become the second largest tech centre in New Zealand. It has pivoted from its traditional strengths of agriculture and tourism to a sustainable, economic future based on local, world-class technology companies.

As people of the church, we are committed to following Jesus with an authentic faith. We seek to be real and authentic in every part of our lives because we believe that Jesus wants to know us.
