The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg was founded in 1973, making it one of Germany‘s young universities. Carl Zeiss IQS Software R&D Center Sp. z o.o. (formerly OptiNav Sp.z o.o.) was established in 2009. Initially, the company specialized in the design and integration of vision, measurement and testing systems, electronics design and the development of proprietary 3D optical navigation technology (OptiTrace, OptiTrack). Since 2021, the Company has been fully integrated with ZEISS, an R&D center focused on providing technical systems and software in the areas of machine vision (image processing algorithms, mathematics, artificial intelligence), which are finally integrated into complete solutions provided by ZEISS IQS.
