La prise en compte du risque est devenue une dimension prioritaire dans la gestion de portefeuille depuis 2008. CBT GESTION a développé une approche novatrice afin de gérer en fonction du profil de risque choisi par sa clientèle. Lobjectif est de piloter le niveau de volatilité fixé pour chaque gestion afin que linvestisseur ne subisse pas les variations du marché. Cest le « budget de risque » sur lequel le processus de gestion de la société se base, à travers trois techniques innovantes : 1) La multigestion permettant de sélectionner les meilleurs spécialistes et de gérer la répartition des risques; 2) La construction de portefeuille par une technique doptimisation propre à CBT permettant de bénéficier dune faible volatilité sur un historique plus ou moins récent ; 3) Le pilotage actif du degré de risque des portefeuilles gérés par la société à travers des indicateurs anticipant les stress de marchés tels que le VIX, par exemple, sur le marché des options, ou encore les spread de taux sur le marché du crédit. Cette approche a reçu dès sa première année le prix de linnovation (Actifs dOr) par lAGEFI en 2011 puis de nouveau en 2014 (Actif dOr) par lAGEFI. En 2015, cette activité a été étendue aux conseils aux assureurs pour leurs gestions profilées et a reçu la Pyramide dor de linnovation Investissement Conseil. Plus récemment, CBT Gestion a été récompensé par Thomson Reuters avec le « Lipper Award 2016 » pour lensemble de sa gamme diversifiée sur 3 ans, catégorie « Small Company ».
