CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd., as a member institution of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is solely responsible for Hungary's export promotion and the execution of the country’s economic development efforts in Central Europe. Constituída oficialmente em 1º de agosto de 1975, a Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos (CEDAE) é oriunda da fusão da Empresa de Águas do Estado da Guanabara (CEDAG), da Empresa de Saneamento da Guanabara (ESAG) e da Companhia de Saneamento do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (SANERJ). A CEDAE opera e mantém a captação, tratamento, adução, distribuição das redes de águas e coleta, transporte, tratamento e destino final dos esgotos gerado dos municípios conveniados do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Abastece atualmente uma população de mais de nove milhões de pessoas e efetua esgotamento sanitário para uma população de mais de cinco milhões de pessoas, considerando uma taxa de ocupação de 3,61 pessoas por domicílio. Tem um faturamento mensal de cerca de R$ 318.000.000,00. Atende 65 dos 92 municípios do Estado com abastecimento de água e 17, com rede de esgoto. Entre os anos de 2007 e 2009 foram renovados 32 convênios com municípios fluminenses, todos assinados em conformidade com as regras definidas na Lei Federal n° 11.445/07 que estabelece as diretrizes nacionais para o nosso segmento de atuação.
