Il Dipartimento di Informatica dell'Università di Torino è stato fondato nel 1984 da una trasformazione del precedente Istituto di Scienze dell'Informazione, fondato nel 1971. Il dipartimento ospita tutti i ricercatori dell'Università di Torino attivi nel campo dell'Informatica ed è il principale rifrimento per quanto riguarda il curriculum in Informatica offerto dalla Facoltà di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali. Il Dipartimento partecipa anche a diverse Scuole di Dottorato. Il Dipartimento di Informatica si trova nel Centro "Piero della Francesca" e include uffici sale riunioni, una biblioteca e diversi laboratori.

Il nuovo Dipartimento di Studi Aziendali ed Economici dell'Università Parthenope è operativo dall'anno accademico 2013/2014. Nasce dall'unione di alcuni Professori e Ricercatori con l'obiettivo di offrire percorsi di formazione e ricerca innovativi basati su un approccio pragmatico e su un contatto continuo e diretto con le aziende, le istituzioni ed i "mercati".
