Award winning wines and luxury accommodation in the south of France. Domaine Saint Hilaire is a family owned historic vineyard in the Languedoc near the Mediterranean. The area was famous for making excellent wines even as far back as Roman times but it was Baron Hilaire Reynaud, a celebrated general under Napoleon, who renamed the domaine after himself when he purchased it in 1817. Vineyard and Winemaking On rising ground a few km from the Étang de Thau, the Domaine benefits from the area's 300 days of sunshine but is protected from extreme temperatures by its proximity to the sea. The main feature of the landscape is a ridge running Northwest to Southeast across the main parcels of the vineyard. The north-facing cooler slope has perhaps been a key ingredient behind the much-acclaimed success of the Saint Hilaire whites. The wine making team is long-established with an average tenure with the vineyard of 15 years including our chief winemaker, Vincent, who has been refining and improving his approach to making the Saint Hilaire wines over the past 18 years. Our philosophy is to let nature naturally express the qualities of our terroirs and grapes (not least from our 40+ year old Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay) into our wines so we try to avoid intervention. Villebois is a family winery owned by Joost and Miguela de Villebois. Over the last 15 years, Villebois has become the leading Sauvignon Blanc producer in the Loire Valley with a unique range of Terroirs Loire Sauvignon Blanc cultivated on its own vineyards. Villebois produces a range of 13 Loire Sauvignon Blanc ranging from the entry level Sauvignon Blanc Vin de France to ‘Single Vineyards’ in Sancerre. It is a highly focused winery around the Sauvignon Blanc grape (even if it also produces a great Pinot Noir!). Villebois has 2 winemaking facilities: One in Touraine and one in Sancerre/Pouilly-Fumé. Villebois’ success is based on a highly skilled and dedicated staff, great terroirs and a passion for making great wines! Notre Maison est solidement ancrée depuis plus de 300 ans au cœur du Beaujolais & du Mâconnais avec les Domaines Loron et les Domaines Auvigue. Notre expérience viticole constitue notre raison d’être. Elle prend sa source dans le village de Chardonnay en passant par Fuissé pour découvrir notre église romane restaurée pour vinifier nos 1er Crus de Pouilly-Fuissé. Puis basculer dans nos vignes des Crus de Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, Moulin à Vent, Fleurie, Morgon avec notre Château Bellevue, Brouilly et Régnié avant de trouver son lit dans nos Beaujolais-Villages de Lantignié et du Perréon. C’est la promesse de découvrir dans le Beaujolais un des 213 Géoparcs mondiaux classés par l’UNESCO et dans le Mâconnais, la Roche de Solutré, classée site remarquable. Aujourd’hui, plus que jamais nous incarnons les nouveaux grands vins de terroir issus du Chardonnay et du Gamay Noir.
