A Dommo Energia busca resultados sem abrir mão de práticas responsáveis, conjugando viabilidade financeira e segurança operacional. Na geologia, DOMO, (com um “m”) designa uma estrutura gerada de movimentação de camadas de sal impermeáveis, as quais podem conduzir à formação de estruturas geológicas que permitem a acumulação de óleo ou gás. Desde 2013, a Dommo Energia vem se transformando e, após um exitoso processo de reestruturação, busca a consolidação de sua posição como importante player nacional em sua indústria de atuação. A companhia iniciou suas atividades em novembro de 2007, quando participou da 9ª Rodada de Licitações da ANP, na qual foram concedidos os direitos de exploração e produção de petróleo e gás em blocos exploratórios, dentre eles, os blocos BM-C-39, BM-C-40 e BM-C-41, localizados na Bacia de Campos, sendo que os dois primeiros abrigam o campo de Tubarão Martelo e o último, o campo de Tubarão Azul. A produção de petróleo foi iniciada em janeiro de 2012, no campo de Tubarão Azul, o qual permaneceu em produção até meados de 2015, tendo sido extraídos, aproximadamente, 6,5 milhões de barris de petróleo do referido campo. Em dezembro de 2013, a Dommo Energia iniciou a produção de petróleo no campo de Tubarão Martelo, o qual permanece em produção até os dias atuais, sendo, no momento, o único campo operado pela companhia. A produção no campo de Tubarão Martelo está sendo realizada por meio do FPSO OSX-3 e, no ano de 2016, alcançou a marca de mais de 10 milhões de barris de óleo produzidos. A companhia possui, ainda, participação de 40% no bloco BS-4, localizado na Bacia de Santos, e que está em fase de desenvolvimento, com expectativa de estrear sua fase de produção no 1º trimestre de 2018.
