Dancenorth is one of Australia’s leading contemporary dance companies having presented work in over 35 International Arts Festivals and venues around Australia and the world and is an integral part of the Australian dance ecology making a significant contribution to the dance sector and building literacy around contemporary dance nationally. Dancenorth empowers and supports artists by providing a creative hub for many artistic voices including a diverse range of choreographers, guest collaborators, artists in residence and dancers. Alongside the professional ensemble and touring productions sits an equally vital pillar of focus, the Community Experience Projects. Driven by a dedicated team, Dancenorth works with diverse and minority communities across Queensland using dance to support, enhance, inspire and heal - bringing communities together. Our approach is built on the ethics of collaboration and collision, authenticity, collegiality, discipline, care and love. Centred on an inclusive ethos of shared ownership, collective conscience, support, interconnection and empowerment, Dancenorth’s artistic philosophy provides a fertile framework which galvanises the company’s creative and administrative endeavours. The Danish-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo acts as a representative voice of commercial interest between Denmark and Brazil. The Chamber provides a solid and continuous base of opportunity, information and support to its membership, as well as a wide range of services that benefit business as a whole, which too includes cultural exchange programs. It is our objective to: • To provide members with networking opportunities and to keep them informed and up-to-date involving trade, investment and technology. • To make the right business contacts gaining access to policy makers, lawyers, auditors, bankers and relevant governmental authorities and staying attuned to changes in the industry. To help achieve these objectives the Chamber hosts a number of events throughout the year holding periodically general membership luncheons featuring top-level Brazilian or Danish speakers from business and government. Frequently the Danish Consulate General cooperates with the Chamber in events such as, fairs, exhibitions, receiving commercial missions, in hosting luncheons and dinners. The Chamber publishes every quarter the magazine “Brazilian Review” (readership of 50.000+ readers in social class A and B) which contains Brazilian and Danish members’ views and notices featured articles on local Danish concerns, trade opportunities, legal supplements, new products and special reports on topical subjects, profiles of member companies, translation of Brazilian laws and decrees.
