Dubai British School Emirates Hills, a Taaleem School, is a dynamic British International School that aims to be at the leading edge of educational innovation and excellence in British international education globally. We provide an international curriculum firmly rooted in the National Curriculum of England and enriched by specialist provision for the Arabic language and a strong performing and visual arts programme, as well as a multitude of sporting and extra-curricular activities and opportunities. Dubai British School prides itself on its inclusive approach to education. We do not discriminate on the grounds of race, nationality, disability or cultural background. We see the diversity of our student and staff population as one of our greatest assets, and we make every attempt to give each and every student full access to our learning programmes. Teachers are assisted by specialist staff, such as our Extended Learning Co-ordinator, in the identification of and provision for an individual student’s specific or exceptional learning needs. If a student should need additional learning support beyond that available at the school, then the school reserves the right to pass on to parents part or all of the additional cost incurred. However, we would discourage the use of private tutors by parents because we believe that we should be able to meet every student’s learning needs in full and to ensure that each and every student makes good progress in every respect within our stated curriculum.
Thank you for your interest in Dubai British School Jumeirah Park (DBSJP), a Taaleem School. Founded in 2015, DBSJP is very quickly establishing itself as one of the leading British schools in the region, offering a broad and balanced education to children from all around the world. We are a unique school that places the wellbeing of our students and the interests of our community at the heart of everything we do. It is our goal that every DBSJP student is given the tools to make a positive difference during their time with us – to their own life and to other’s lives. With world-class facilities and teachers, our goal is to provide opportunities where students thrive in a nurturing yet challenging environment – able to achieve the best possible educational outcomes and to flourish as individuals during the experience. We celebrate this individuality in all that we do, praising the very many ways that our students are able to express their talents, whether these be academic or in the sports and art. It is this warmth of spirit that sets DBSJP apart, where every student, every member of staff and every parent is able to find their place in the sun. Schools are often talked about as being ‘happy places’, but DBSJP is made up of happy people – happy to be respected, valued, and appreciated, given every opportunity to succeed in a way that is meaningful to them. I do hope that you are able to visit the school, to see and feel this for yourselves, and to hopefully join the DBSJP community as a student, parent or member of staff. Brendon Fulton Principal
