Durlock inició sus actividades en el año 1977, siendo una compañía de capitales nacionales. En 1989 fue adquirida por la corporación Belga “Etex Group”, un holding industrial dedicado a brindar soluciones constructivas. Etex Group está conformado por más de 100 empresas especializadas en el rubro de la construcción, cuenta con más de 17.000 empleados y tiene presencia en más de 40 países alrededor del mundo. El Complejo Industrial abarca las unidades de fabricación de placas de yeso y masillas Durlock® ubicado en Gral. Acha, provincia de La Pampa; y desde el año 1997 dos Plantas que se encuentran ubicadas en la ciudad de Malargüe, provincia de Mendoza, donde se produce la línea completa de Yesos tradicionales en polvo Yemaco, Alpress y Aljez y bloques macizos para la construcción. En el año 2008 Durlock incorpora a esta línea a la CIA. Corral, empresa con reconocida trayectoria en producción de yesos en Argentina, ubicada en General Roca, provincia de Río Negro.
