Dessian is one of the UK and Ireland's most successful PVCu fabricators of windows and doors. Dessian manufactures REHAU Tritec (60mm) and REHAU TOTAL70 (70mm) window systems in a wide range of styles and colours. Our PVCu and composite door choices will also complement any home. All of our doors are extremely durable and come with high security multi-point locking features. Our customers cover the entire range including Retail Window Companies, Trade Installers, House Builders, Municipal Education & Health Authorities, Fire Authorities, HMP and Housing Associations across Ireland and Great Britain. Over the years we have achieved a number of accreditations to ensure that all of our products are manufactured to the highest possible level. These include ISO and Kitemark features. We can also supply a range of Secured by Design products, a widely recognised police initiative which promotes the use of security standards on windows and doors to prevent crime on homes and commercial premises. Destec was formed in 1969, by the present owners of the company, and it has remained a Private Limited Company ever since. For over 48 years of trading the company has developed both products and services to industry, particularly where design and supply is concerned, with ‘High Pressure Containment’ and ‘On-Site Machining’ being the specialist lines. The management of the company had previously (1959 - 1969) been substantially involved in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of ‘Ruston-Grayloc’ clamp-type pipe connectors and seals. From 1969 - 1972 Destec Engineering was engaged by Gray Tool Co. (Grayloc), to continue with all aspects of the high pressure pipe connector market, on its behalf. Since 1969 Destec have been committed to the design and manufacture of portable machine tools, partly for installation and servicing of company products, and also as a general On-Site Machining Service. Destec now have a most versatile and very wide range of in-house designed and manufactured portable machine tools that can undertake most machine shop operations on-site, on a world wide basis. Currently Destec has a fully equipped machine workshop with CNC turning capacity up to 1m diameter, vertical machining centres within 1.5m tables and a wide selection of general purpose machine tools enabling the company to offer a versatile machining facility.
