Diatomix, Inc. has developed a patent-pending, bioengineered compound that actively and continuously improves indoor air quality when incorporated into products with a variety of LED lights. Diatomix offers an all-inclusive OEM air purifying additive which not only continuously adsorbs VOCs but also converts it into nontoxic byproducts. The Diatomix additive can replace activated carbon in many applications. This is essential step in fighting climate change as activated carbon is coal or charcoal and to regenerate activated carbon you must burn off about 15%. This means that today we burn coal to clean the emissions from burning, unsurprisingly not sustainable. Diatomix additive can be regenerated without losses, leading to a circular economy and a huge environmental benefit.

Diavantis is a young and aspiring medical technology start-up with a small but very interdisciplinary team located in Switzerland. We are a spin-off fully owned by Cendres+Métaux SA, one of the leading Swiss companies in the field of medical technology. Our current investigational device, Bone Anchored Port, is a long-term vascular access for haemodialysis. The port system consists of a titanium implant, a replaceable cover and a catheter. The novelty lies in its fixation to the head, for which the team won the Swiss Technology Award 2014 in the category "Sustainability Leader". At present, we are running a multicentre clinical investigation under the name of Bone Anchored Port - A novel vascular access for hemodialysis treatment which started at the University Hospital in Berne.

Άνθρωποι με προβλήματα όρασης, μη βλέποντες, άνθρωποι που αδυνατούν να κρατήσουν βιβλίο στα χέρια τους, ηλικιωμένοι σε γηροκομεία, παιδάκια σε ιδρύματα ή αναλφάβητοι φυλακισμένοι δικαιούνται να έχουν πρόσβαση σε όλο και περισσότερα βιβλία και περισσότερες κατηγορίες αναγνωσμάτων. Με μότο «Για να ακούν με τα μάτια μας και να διαβάζουν με τη φωνή μας» και με την πεποίθηση ότι η πρόσβαση στην λογοτεχνία πρέπει να είναι δυνατή σε όλους, οι εθελοντές του Διαβάζω για τους Άλλους αναπτύσσουν δράσεις ζωντανών αναγνώσεων σε όλο και περισσότερα ιδρύματα κάθε μέρα. Παράλληλα, οι εθελοντές του Δικτύου διαβάζουν και ηχογραφούν παραμύθια και βιβλία λογοτεχνίας, προκειμένου να εμπλουτιστεί η Ακουστική Βιβλιοθήκη των Τυφλών. Γίνετε συνοδοιπόροι στο όραμα μας!
