The Energy Coast UTC is a new concept in education for 14 -19 year olds in West Cumbria, combining traditional academic classroom-based learning with practical skills. The curriculum will have a strong emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM); sustainability; clean technologies; and construction. The focus of the Energy Coast UTC is to provide a world-class educational experience, specifically designed to ensure young people are prepared for work and university.
