L’ENSATT est une « École-Théâtre » accueillant chaque année environ 180 étudiants en formation initiale ainsi que 70 à 80 professionnels en formation continue. Etablissement Public de l'Etat, elle est placée sous la tutelle du Ministère de l'Education Nationale, de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche. Y sont enseignés les métiers d’acteur, d’administrateur, de concepteur costume, de concepteur lumière, de concepteur son, de costumier, de directeur technique, d’écrivain dramaturge, de metteur en scène et de scénographe. A cela s’ajoute une formation théorique transversale : Arts & Humanités. L'ENSATT est aussi une fabrique théâtrale disposant notamment d’ateliers de construction de décors ou de réalisation de costumes, de studios de répétitions, d’enregistrement et de recherche sonore, d’une salle modulable de 190 places, d’un théâtre de 218 places et d'un amphithéâtre extérieur. Cette présence de l’ensemble des métiers de la scène est unique en France. Elle permet la mise en œuvre de laboratoires dramatiques ou d’"Essais"​ collectifs ainsi que d’ateliers-spectacles confiés à des metteurs en scène professionnels et joués dans l’école ou en itinérance. Développant ses relations avec les lieux de formation ou de création en France, en Europe et dans le monde, l’ENSATT prépare l’insertion de ses étudiants et accompagne leur entrée dans la vie professionnelle. Elle est aussi le lieu où les recherches, universitaire et artistique, se questionnent mutuellement, ouvrant toujours plus largement le champ de l’expérimentation. A l’ENSATT, qui fête ses 75 ans en 2016, le théâtre s’élabore dans un rapport constant entre pédagogues et étudiants, entre artistes, techniciens et équipe administrative, entre personnalités du monde du spectacle et publics. Il est un art de son temps, collectif et vivant.

Founded in 1982, Les Ateliers-Paris Design Institute (École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle) is the only French national Institute exclusively devoted to industrial design. A public commercial and industrial establishment supervised by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Industry, it broadened its activities to include two other degree programmes in 1985 and 1993: first the Atelier National d’Art Textile (ANAT), then a specialist Master’s degree in “Design and contemporary technology”, the denomination of which has recently been modified. Today the School covers not only the fields of industrial and product design but also multiple contemporary design applications: digital, spatial, communication, service design… For over 25 years Les Ateliers has trained designers with highly varied profiles who have gone on to work in design studios, businesses or as freelancers, many of them contributing to France’s renown abroad.
