East Coast Catering (ECC) is a locally managed Newfoundland & Labrador company specializing in catering and accommodation services to remote site locations. ECC is the preferred provider of catering and janitorial services in Atlantic Canada’s mining, oil, and gas sector. Currently, we serve the majority of offshore production / drilling installations, construction, and mine sites in Canada’s East Coast region. In Canada, from coast to coast, ECC has a proven track record of providing turn-key camp solutions to mining and constructions projects, including the world-class Voisey’s Bay Nickel project. East Coast Catering operated each phase of the camp from initial exploration to construction to the permanent concentrator complex. Across all our operations, the company provides accommodations for over 5,500 people, serving close to 26,000 meals every day. The East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) is a statutory body established to spearhead the socio-economic development of the East Coast Economic Region (ECER). ECERDC plays a lead role in setting directions, formulating policies and developing strategies for the socio-economic development of ECER by promoting and facilitating investments into the Region. The ECER of Malaysia covers Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and the district of Mersing in Johor. It occupies an area of 66,000 sq km or 51% of the total area of Peninsular Malaysia. Five key economic clusters, namely Manufacturing, Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals, Tourism, Agriculture and Human Capital Development will drive the development of ECER in line with the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and Economic Transformation Programme (ETP). The ECER Master Plan, approved by the Government in 2008, was formulated as a basis to guide the development of ECER until 2020. It identifies projects and programmes to reduce regional socio-economic disparities, eradicate poverty and improve income and wealth distribution in a sustainable manner.

East Coast Environmental Law Association, established in 2007 as a non-profit organization, responds to community inquiries, carries out legal and policy research and presents educational resources and opportunities to increase public awareness of environmental laws in Atlantic Canada. Our objective is to build capacity in the public and among legal practitioners so that we can work together to ensure that environmental laws are effectively used and strengthened. Through its workshops, inquiry line and projects, ECELAW's work touches on a variety of wide-ranging issues of lasting public importance including water, fisheries, mining, energy, protected places, species at risk, and environmental assessment.
