ERGO Asigurări S.A. este o companie a grupului ERGO, autorizată să desfășoare activități de asigurări generale începând cu data de 9 iulie 2007. EVOLUȚIE Compania şi-a inceput activitatea pe piața românească de asigurări cu denumirea FIBA Asigurări, sub forma de investiție directă a grupului financiar Credit Europe Group N.V., parte a holdingului FIBA Group. Denumirea companiei a devenit Credit Europe Asigurări la data de 29 august 2007, în concordanță cu grupul financiar din care facea parte, şi a inglobat termenul ‘’Reasigurări” la data de 22 aprilie 2008. Compania a obținut aprobarea extinderii activităților, în baza liberei circulații a serviciilor, în Germania, Belgia și Olanda, începând cu data de 13 iulie 2009, şi in Franța, începând cu data de 4 octombrie 2012. Începand cu data de 23 septembrie 2009, compania este acționar fondator al Pool-ului de Asigurare Împotriva Dezastrelor Naturale (PAID). În data de 9 decembrie 2015, grupul ERGO anunța că a ajuns la o ințelegere privind preluarea companiei, iar în data de 30 martie 2016, A.S.F. aproba tranzacția (considerată cea mai importantă de dupa 2008). Începand cu data de 19 iulie 2016, compania este deținută de ERGO Austria International AG (99.9785%) și ERGO Versicherung AG (0.0215%). Începand cu data de 12 decembrie 2016, denumirea companiei a devenit ERGO Asigurări, pentru a sublinia apartenența la grupul ERGO.
