De acordo com a política cultural e educacional da Alemanha, a Escola Alemã Corcovado é uma escola de encontro bicultural e oferece um programa de ensino bilíngue em Português e Alemão. A meta principal da escola é contribuir para que haja um melhor entendimento mútuo entre o Brasil e a Alemanha, intensificando a cooperação na busca de soluções para as questões intelectuais mundiais. As funções principais das instituições de encontro são: a) Encontro com a cultura e a sociedade do país acolhedor; b) Educação para as crianças alemãs que se encontram no exterior; c) Fomento da língua alemã. Vorrangiges Ziel der Schule ist es zu einem besseren Verständnis zwischen Brasilien und Deutschland beizutragen und die Bereitschaft zu gemeinsamen Lösungen weltweit sich stellender geistiger Aufgaben zu verstärken. EABH is proud of its roots. From its humble beginnings in 1956 as a Christian missionary school, it is now the first and only International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Minas Gerais. Students at EABH receive a high quality education taught primarily in the English language, with an emphasis on building global citizens. We are fortunate to have a supportive and involved parent community and a highly qualified and dedicated faculty. The results of these factors are reflected in the success of EABH graduates who are consistently offered admission to competitive universities in the Unites States, Europe and Brazil. EAC holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools (London, UK) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (Boston, USA). Pre-School students experience the Montessori Program in the Pre-School, a complementary standards-based American program and Brazilian program in the Elementary School and Upper School (Grades 1-12), and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Grades 11-12.
