Our Mission: “To provide the highest quality performances for audiences in the Puget Sound region, while developing dancers and educating a diverse public and its youth in the art of dance”. Vision: Evergreen City Ballet aims to cultivate talent by providing professional training and performance opportunities to young people of any background, ethnicity, race, religion or economic situation. This nonprofit organization also exists to allow students of all ages and experience to engage in the art of dance at whichever level of participation they choose. The Evergreen City Ballet strives to offer the highest quality ballet performances to a diverse and expanding audience of the South King and North Pierce county region. ECB at a glance: Evergreen City Ballet was founded in 1994 and received its non-profit status in 1995. It was established in downtown Auburn as both a ballet school providing professional quality training, and as a performing company. In September 2009, ECB relocated to a state-of-the art, custom designed facility in the Cedar River Corporate Park, 2230 Lind Avenue SW, in Renton. The 7,600 square foot facility contains three dance studios, two of which can be joined to form a Black Box Theatre, plus offices and costume and set storage. A ten year lease insures the company’s long-term stability and reinforces our commitment to this community. The School: Evergreen City Ballet's school offers ballet classes for aspiring professionals along with open classes in a variety of dance forms for all ages and abilities. Classes include ballet technique, pointe, jazz, modern, theater dance and mat conditioning.

A simple solution. An expression of values. Mission, justice, hope. MISSION Evergreen Clinical was created out of a desire to provide services to those without insurance and thus had limited options for receiving care. The original model was simple, and it has remained so for over a decade: Keep fees very low by keeping expenses very low. George Fox graduate students receive training in return for serving as therapists at EGC, so they work without pay. EGC’s founder, Dr. Brian Goff, donates his time, expertise, office space and infrastructure without compensation. Individuals donate to pay for technology, trainings and so forth. Evergreen being a missional endeavor; it exists wholly as vehicle to advance service-related values. JUSTICE Evergreen Clinical provides psychological services to a wide variety of people with diverse concerns. Services vary but primarily involve individual psychotherapy for adults. We believe all individuals should have equal access. We join in the call for healthcare for all, but until this is a reality, we are attempting to stand in the gap in our own way. HOPE We utilize evidence-based therapies, most prominently Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Evidenced-based therapy is therapy informed by science. We are continually educating ourselves so that our work is informed by research and that we are implementing the most effective treatments in the most effective manner. This maximizes our chances of having a positive outcome. While we acknowledge and work within the diagnostic framework of modern clinical psychology, we do not believe that our clients are “sick” and need to be “cured of pathology.” Informed by ACT, we are focused on how we all, as humans, struggle, and what we can do about it live more vital, meaningful and engaged lives. Some of Evergreen’s other accomplishments are: • 2014-2015 – Evergreen’s third grade lead teacher Chris Weaver won North Carolina’s Charter School Teacher of the Year. • 2012- Named a Green Ribbon School by the US Department of Education in the program’s inaugural year for exercising a comprehensive approach to creating “green” environments through reducing environmental impact, promoting health, and ensuring a high-quality environmental and outdoor education that prepares students with the 21st century skills and sustainability concepts needed in the growing global economy. • 2010-2011 – Evergreen’s middle school science teacher Stuart Miles won North Carolina’s Charter School Teacher of the Year. • 2010 – Received the Exceptional Environmental Education Center by the Environmental Educators of North Carolina for our commitment to creating an environmentally literate student body and encouraging students to educate the general public about important environmental issues. • 2009 – Received charter renewal for 10 years and achieved full SACS CASI accreditation through AdvancED, an organization that advances excellence in education worldwide.
