ECLA is an Academic Research Organization devoted to provide support and expertise for the conduct of clinical trials in Latin America. In the early days of 1987, ECLA designed and conducted the first full-scale clinical trial in the setting of acute myocardial infarction in collaboration with Oxford University, UK. Since then, more than 30.000 patients have been enrolled in controlled clinical trials.
