L’École de Commerce et Management a été implantée en 1995 dans le parc d’entreprises La Fayette à Besançon (25). Elle a connu un succès rapide en proposant des parcours en alternance de l’Éducation Nationale accessibles après le Bac, lui permettant de devenir l’école de référence des BTS tertiaires en alternance. La gouvernance de l’école s’est ensuite rapprochée en 2004 du Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Grand établissement public, placé sous la tutelle du ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur. Elle a ainsi, grâce à son partenariat avec le Cnam Bourgogne Franche-Comté, offert pour la première fois en région la possibilité d’accéder en École de Commerce à des diplômes d’État Licence et Master dans le cadre de l’alternance. L'ECM a su s’entourer d’autres partenaires aux diplômes prestigieux comme les écoles IGS-RH et ESAM, proposant des Titres Bac+4 / Bac+5. En 2007, l’ECM a souhaité devenir une référence régionale et s’est dotée pour ce faire d’un second établissement implanté sur le Techn’hom de Belfort. En 2018, un troisième site de formation a été développé en partenariat avec le Cnam Bourgogne-Franche-Comté au sein de la ville de Dijon. En 2021 naît l’ECM Mulhouse préparant en alternance aux Bachelors et Msc de l’ICD Business School, l’ESAM et l’IGS-RH. L'ECM Strasbourg, située à l'Espace européen de l'entreprise de Schiltigheim est inaugurée en 2022. Le campus ECM Nancy vient renforcer la présence de l'École dans le Grand-Est à la rentrée 2023. Aujourd’hui, les six écoles répondent à plus de 4000 demandes d’étudiants souhaitant intégrer ces parcours diplômants et à plus de 5000 entreprises à la recherche d’apprentis ou de formations continues pour cadres et dirigeants. L’ECM est devenue aujourd’hui une école de commerce et de management incontournable en se spécialisant dans six univers : Marketing-Communication, Commerce-Vente, Immobilier, Ressources-Humaines, Finance d’Entreprise – Contrôle de Gestion, Management Stratégique.

ECMAR is an active contributor to WATERBORNE, the recognized European Technology Platform for sustainable and safe seaborne transport and ocean related research, development and innovation. Full Membership of ECMAR is open to organisations, within Europe, whose principal activity involves maritime applied research; there is also a category of Associated Membership for all other maritime organisations, who have an interest in applied research.
