A Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos (EESC) da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) contribui de maneira expressiva, há mais de 65 anos, para a formação de profissionais altamente qualificados, preparados para atender tanto as demandas do mercado de trabalho quanto as atividades de pesquisa científica na área. Já formou cerca de 10 mil bacharéis. Oferece 10 cursos de graduação e 11 programas de pós-graduação (ver abaixo), distribuídos em nove Departamentos. Conta ainda com mais de 70 grupos temáticos trabalhando diretamente com pesquisa. A EESC-USP foi implantada em São Carlos, interior do Estado de São Paulo, na segunda metade do século XX, e alavancou o desenvolvimento tecnológico e educacional da cidade, que hoje é conhecida como A Capital da Tecnologia. É referência nacional na área de Engenharia e tem contribuído para o desenvolvimento da sociedade brasileira, com aplicação e difusão dos conhecimentos científicos, culturais e tecnológicos. The Electrical Engineering STudents' European assoCiation is an apolitical, non-governmental and non-profit organization which targets and trains through its activities students from electrical profile Universities, Institutes and Technical Schools in Europe. The association was founded in The Netherlands, in 1986. Nowadays, EESTEC is present in 29 universities across Europe. EESTECs main goal is to promote, establish and develop international contacts and an exchange of ideas between students in electrical profile faculties.The activity of this organization relies on the skills, enthusiasm, openness and will of involvement of its members, also pursuing their professional development and the improvement of their technical knowledge. EESTEC LC Bucharest displays its activity within the Politehnica University of Bucharest, thus being placed in the most appropriate environment for fulfilling its exclusive academic purposes. Our MISSION is to provide education complementary to that offered in universities to students willing to broaden their horizons and put in practice their skills. EESTEC wishes to facilitate the communication between the academic and the economic environment. We offer the students a handful of opportunities to build their desired career. We promote students that have technical knowledge as well as knowledge that will make them suited for todays demands. In this way we also address companies easing their contact with young men and women with various skills, ready to integrate in the environment they will be active in as future specialists.

EESTEC (Electrical Engineering Students’ European Association) Avrupa’daki elektrik ve elektronikle ilgili alanlarda mühendislik eğitimi gören üniversite öğrencilerinden oluşan bir organizasyondur. EESTEC LC Istanbul, Elektrik Elektronik Fakültesi bünyesinde bulunan, elektrik, elektronik, bilgisayar, kontrol ve telekomünikasyon mühendisliği öğrencilerinin EESTEC’in sunduğu imkânlardan faydalanabilmesi amacıyla, İTÜ IEEE Öğrenci Kolu bünyesinde EESTEC İstanbul Yerel Komitesi adı altında çalışmalarda bulunmaktadır. EESTEC İstanbul Yerel Komitesi oluşturmak için, fakültemiz öğrencileri tarafından 2005 yılı Şubat ayında çalışmalara başlanmıştır. Şu anda İTÜ IEEE bünyesindeki “EESTEC LC Istanbul”; EESTEC içerisinde yerel komite olarak bulunmakta, EESTEC faaliyetlerine katılmakta ve İstanbul’da çalıştaylar gerçekleştirmektedir. 27 ülkede 49 tane yerel komitesi bulunan EESTEC’in Türkiye’deki ilk komitesi İTÜ IEEE Öğrenci Kolu bünyesinde çalışan EESTEC LC Istanbul kuruludur. Bir ilk olarak komitemiz, bu oluşumun Türkiye’deki diğer şehirlerde tanıtılması ve yeni yerel komitelerin kurulması açısından da sorumluluk sahibi olduğu gibi İstanbul ve Türkiye’nin tanıtımında da önemli rol almış ve sonuç olarak, Ankara, Eskişehir ve İzmir’de yerel komiteler oluşturulmuştur. EESTEC LC Istanbul olarak amaç, Elektrik Elektronik Fakültesi öğrencilerine, EESTEC ile birlikte Avrupa’nın birçok şehrinde düzenli olarak yapılan uluslararası seminer ve değişim programlarına ücretsiz katılma imkânı ve gerek teknik, gerekse sosyal - kültürel alanda gelişim ve paylaşım imkânı sağlanmasıdır. Ayrıca bu organizasyonun diğer bir amacı da öğrencilere diğer ülkelerdeki eğitim sistemini ve endüstriyi tanıtmaktır. Bunlara ek olarak EESTEC uluslararası kariyer, iş ve staj olanaklarını da mümkün kılmaktadır.
