Als gevolg van de ontgroening zijn er steeds minder mensen die zorg kunnen leveren en de totale zorguitgaven zijn de laatste jaren explosief gestegen. Het Expertisecentrum voor Innovatieve Zorg en Technologie (EIZT) en ZorgTechniek Limburg (ZTL) willen fundamenteel bijdragen aan een gezonde zorgeconomie. Met onderzoek bouwen we aan toekomstbestendige zorg. Met scholing en training van huidige en toekomstige professionals verankeren we zorginnovaties in de praktijk. Technologie loopt als een rode draad door deze doelstellingen. EIZT en ZTL zijn als organisaties complementair aan elkaar. Waar EIZT focust op onderzoek, valorisatie en (bij)scholing van technici en zorgprofessionals op hbo- en wo-niveau, ligt binnen het dienstenpakket van ZTL het zwaartepunt vooral op het (bij)scholen van technici en zorgprofessionals op mbo-niveau.
