The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) was founded after the unbundling of the National Power Authority (NPA) in late 2014. EDSA is responsible for the distribution and supply of electricity in Sierra Leone, while most of its operations is centered in the western area, EDSA strives to extend its networks to reach the electrification of the whole country. With over 700 employees, EDSA is undergoing complete restructuring in its organization structure that will be centered on customer satisfaction and have a comprehensive vision of the entire business value chains with the Distribution Technical Services and Commercial Services, as the core of the business

Electricity Exchange, a Demand Side Unit (DSU) operating in Irelands electricity market, offers large electricity users from 10,000/year to well in excess of 100,000/year in standby payments in return for making their backup generators available to support Irelands electricity system during a few short periods per year. In addition to the financial reward, Electricity Exchanges clients also receive access to online power quality analytical tools that enable real-time and retrospective analysis of onsite electrical conditions with a one second data resolution across 22 electrical parameters per meter. Electricity Exchanges client base ranges from the commercial sector to the pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors. The company also has strong links with power generation companies and has reseller agreements in place with a number of key industry players including one of Irelands largest electricity supply companies. Electricity Exchange places a strong emphasis on technology development and are currently developing the next generation of demand response products intended to expand the scope of DSU participation in Irelands electricity market as well as creating significant opportunities in foreign markets.

Electricity Solutions Limited (ES) is an Independent Connections Provider offering a full turnkey alternative to the host Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) for the design and delivery of multi-utility connections. We are fully accredited to work in each DNO region with particular emphasis across the North West, Midlands and the South. We currently have full accreditation up to 11kV and partial accreditation up to 66kV, but also offer gas and water connections as part of a multi-utility offering for the Residential and Industrial/Commercial sectors.

The Electricity System Operator EAD (“ESO”) was established on 4 April 2007 as a subsidiary of the National Electricity Company (“NEK”). On 4 February 2014, the unbundling of ESO from NEK went through its last stage in line with the Third Liberalization Package. This has been the final step needed to reach compliance with Directive 2009/72/EC and the national legislative provisions. ESO is responsible for the common operational planning, coordination and control of the Bulgarian power system and its parallel synchronous operation with neighbouring systems. Its purviews also include transmission grid operation, maintenance and reliable functioning, auxiliary network servicing, as well as maintenance and repair services in the energy sector. It also manages the power transit through the national grid and runs the electricity market. In performing parallel synchronous operation with ENTSO-E, ESO, being a key partner in the Balkan region, constantly strives to achieve higher transmission efficiency and asset management performance by introducing and using the newest methods of planning, maintenance and monitoring. The company has deployed an asset management system (SAP/R3), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA), and Geographic Information System (GIS).
