Emmaus International

Founded in 1971 by Abbé Pierre, Emmaus International is a movement based on solidarity, which fights against poverty and exclusion. It brings together 350 organisations in 37 countries, spread over four continents. Although these organisations exist in very different social, economic and political contexts, they share the values of welcoming those in need, solidarity, openness, respect and sharing. They also all share the same objective: taking action against the causes of poverty and bringing about social change by allowing the most impoverished people to take control of their own lives. Emmaus organisations worldwide lead campaigns and take action as part of three struggles for basic human rights: an ethical and solidarity economy, social and environmental justice, and freedom of movement and of residence for universal citizenship. Sole heir of Abbé Pierre, Emmaus International has the responsibility to preserve and bring to life the legacy of Abbé Pierre and the struggles he led unremittingly throughout his life.

Emmbi Industries Limited

Emmbi Industries Limited is the most valued woven polymer processing company in India, driven by our commitment to sustainability and innovation. Our operations span 72 countries across five continents, embodying our philosophy of Brighter Every Way. Founded in 1997 by Makrand Appalwar and Rinku Appalwar, Emmbi has always been a trailblazer in sustainable polymer processing solutions. As global plastic waste reaches a staggering 400 million tonnes annually, with only 9% being recycled, the challenge of integrating recycled plastic into products remains significant. Many polymer processing companies struggle with this, leaving approximately 364 million tonnes of plastic waste unrecycled. At Emmbi, we are dedicated to changing this reality. We envision a future where recycled plastic is the norm in all our products, from bulk packaging to agro-polymers and water conservation solutions. Our latest innovation, the Reclaim30 line, incorporates over 30% recycled polypropylene in our bulk bags, without compromising on strength or affordability. Publicly traded on both the BSE and NSE, we employ over 2,000 people across our Mumbai office, Silvassa factories, and 13+ agri-field teams throughout India. By investing in advanced recycling technologies and developing creative solutions, we are setting new standards for the industry. Our mission is to deliver products that combine the durability and affordability of virgin materials with a strong commitment to sustainability.
