When we created E&U, it was just our own drawing board, where we placed ideas onto a blank canvas. After a few months, we realized that other people wanted to participate and share their own experiences with our community. It become a haven of individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and feeling left out and not good enough. With origins dating back to 2013, Empowering Community Solutions was co-founded and officially launched in 2016 by business owners with the desire to make a real difference in the lives of young people. The organisation has successfully launched it's first program; HYPE (Helping Young People Empower) in the greater Western Sydney regions of Blacktown, Baulkham Hills, Hornsby, Hawkesbury and Parramatta. The HYPE program is a motivational program for young people that aims to provide the combination of lasting life skills and youth resilience required to overcome challenging situations, set and achieve measurable goals and work towards making positive life choices. The program is delivered by a Mentor; a successful individual who has worked hard and overcome adversity in their own life in order to become successful. Life experiences and true stories of each of our mentors are used to illustrate how each lesson can be applied by any person to make a difference in life. Our programs have received positive feedback from students, teachers and other community members, with significant interest from the public regarding future support and expansion.
