El Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras – FOGAFÍN es una autoridad financiera adscrita al Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público, encargada de proteger los ahorros de los ciudadanos depositados en bancos, corporaciones financieras, compañías de financiamiento, sociedades especializadas en depósitos electrónicos (SEDPES) y en el Fondo Nacional del Ahorro que, por obligación, están inscritos en Fogafín. Fogafín hace parte de la Red de Seguridad del Sistema Financiero colombiano, conformada por el Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público, el Banco de la República y la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia.
