July 4, 1949: A New Day, A New Vision “We want to educate men and women whose only passport is intellectual competence; whose pursuit is excellence of mind, body and character; and whose quest is for freedom and truth.” —Dr. Vicente G. Sinco Founded by Dr. Vicente G. Sinco, Foundation University opened its doors at the dawn of a new era for the Philippines, a country that emerged at the end of World War II to become Asia’s first democracy. From the beginning, the university has been a non-profit, non-sectarian institution, accessible to all. Dr. Vicente G. Sinco was born in Negros Oriental of modest means, and rose to become an influential figure who helped to write the Philippine Constitution. He was a trusted adviser to several Philippine Presidents, and launched our country’s involvement in world affairs as the representative of the Philippines, signing the United Nations Charter in 1945. He was the Dean of Law at the University of the Philippines and served as that institution’s president from 1958-1962. For Foundation University, he envisioned a school that afforded anyone with ability and determination the opportunity for a college education, regardless of wealth or social position. He dreamed of a permanent center for teaching and learning that would help the Philippines assume its place among free nations. Dr. Vicente Sinco passed this dream on to his son, Leandro (Andy) Sinco who’s life had always been intertwined with the fate of Foundation University. In 1993, after a full academic career in the United States, Andy Sinco returned to Dumaguete to take up the reigns of the family-founded university whose graduates now numbered in the thousands. For ten years he infused new life into the school with dynamic leadership that brought to the forefront student-centered principles and uncompromising, personal attention.

Foundations for Learning is dedicated to helping children, teenagers and young adults to reach their full academic potential. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, we offer: academic support for the important educational building blocks (reading and writing, maths and languages); tutoring for IB, IGCSE and A Level exams; learning support for dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD and other learning difficulties; psychological support; a talented and gifted programme and specialist teacher training. We work primarily in the English language (except when teaching other languages) and many of our clients are expatriate families from all over the world whose children are attending an international school in the area. The Foundations Learning System is an assessment/intervention solution designed for students who struggle with reading comprehension and fluency due to poor word recognition skills. The Foundations System is designed for students in grades 2 and above and has been proven effective for persistently struggling readers, special needs students, English language learners, and students who learn differently. Our mission is to improve the literacy of all students, particularly those who struggle, by working with educators to build successful learning environments in schools and providing them with effective instructional tools based on proven learning models. We believe we will be successful with students only if we can redefine the relationship between schools and providers of curriculum and instructional tools.

Foundations Nail and Beauty Academy is a private Beauty Industry training provider based in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, offering a flexible, fully funded, approach to training VTCT Accredited level 3 courses are available with full funding in Nail Technology, Nail Services, Beauty Therapy Massage and Make Up Artistry. Courses are delivered over 20 weeks with students attending the Academy one day a week during this time ABT Accredited one day courses in Application of Spray Tan, Gel Polish, Individual Eyelash application, Precision Brows and Beginners Waxing also available Since its launch in January 2017 Foundations has trained over 100 students in the industry, which has lead to 5 salon launches, business expansions and over 30 students becoming self employed beauty therapists.

Foundations Wellness Center is a substance abuse and mental health facility located in Florida's Treasure coast area. We at Foundations Wellness Center believe in a small, more individualized approach to treating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our team is made up of master level clinicians and others with extensive and personal experience in addiction recovery.
