Trasformare il lavoro di ricerca in architetture da vivere nella qualità totale, efficienti energeticamente socialmente ed economicamente è il primo obiettivo dell’approccio interdisciplinare del FRIGERIO DESIGN GROUP, studio fondato e diretto dal 1991 da Enrico Frigerio. Storia, profilo sociale ed economico, caratteristiche ambientali e bioclimatiche confluiscono nel progetto, lo definiscono e lo rendono unico, generando la “slow architecture”, un’architettura progressiva che vive nel tempo e trae dal contesto le risorse per la sua definizione. Non c’è innovazione che non debba aderire al sito, alla ricchezza irripetibile del costruire qui e non altrove. Le opere di FDG si contraddistinguono per l’individuazione di strategie di intervento nelle quali di volta in volta, esigenze specifiche entrano in dialogo con le tecnologie per produrre soluzioni appropriate, dotate di una forte capacità di sintesi, svincolate da esigenze puramente formali. Ne sono un esempio i progetti più significativi dello studio: la Tribuna Ecologica dell’Autodromo di Imola (1991- 1992), il palazzo ad uso uffici per il gruppo RAS Assicurazione a Milano (1996-1998), la sede Sambonet a Orfengo (2000-2004), le centrali elettriche del gruppo svizzero EGL (2002-2008), il Centro sportivo Ferdeghini per lo Spezia Calcio (2012-2013), la nuova Stazione Elettrica di TERNA a Capri (2012-2017) e l’Headquarter Crèdit - Agricole Green Life (2008-2018). Attualmente sono in cantiere l' Headquarters di ZamaSport a Novara, un nuovo complesso residenziale a Saronno e la nuova sede uffici di Arcaplanet a Carasco. In via di sviluppo anche i più recenti concorsi vinti, il Ferrero Technical Center ad Alba e la trasformazione della centrale ENEL di Alessandria in un parco di sport estremi.
